All on Four Dental Implant Reviews

Marin Contemporary Perio & Implant Concepts

All-on-4 Dental Implants San Rafael California have become a popular treatment option over the past several years. In deciding whether or not to pursue All-on-4 Implants, there are several things to consider, including cost, comfort, and time required to complete the procedure. To help you better understand All-on-4 Implants and decide whether it is the right treatment option for you, we have provided the following reviews from patients who have had All- on-4 Dental Implants placed.

One Week After Surgery

I am only one week out following my surgery and I could not be happier with how close these implants match my original teeth. My smile looks like it did years ago! The recovery process has been manageable, but not without some discomfort. I had bruising on the left side of my face and some swelling. It also felt unusual to chew at first, but I have started getting used to the sensation again. I had several back teeth that were missing, so it has been an adjustment, but chewing and talking are getting easier all the time. I have to say though, the thing that has been the biggest difference for me is that I can smile again! I hadn’t even realized how much my missing teeth were impacting my sense of self-confidence, but with my natural look restored, I feel like a brand new person!

Why Didn’t I Do This Sooner?

I am in my early 60s and have been on medication for the past ten years that had a horrible impact on my teeth, which were not in the best shape to begin with. Prior to having this procedure, I was barely able to chew and had a smile that was embarrassing. I had several friends suggest that I travel abroad to have the surgery performed at a cheaper rate, but I am always wary of taking those kind of risks on such an important decision. If there is one thing I would recommend, it is, do your research and find a dentist who is the right fit for you. I did extensive research on the internet and asked several family members and friends for a recommendation.

I found a dentist who I trusted and who understood what my priorities and values were for this procedure. I had both bottom and top arches done on the same day. I have since been overwhelmingly thrilled with the results. I understand there are cheaper options for addressing this type of issue, but for my money, this procedure was worth every penny.

All-on-4 Top Arch

I am 26 years old and have had dental issues my entire life. At a young age I had multiple fillings, and when I was 20 years I old, I had to have my top molars removed. In addition to it being difficult for me to chew, it was also incredibly embarrassing to be 20 years old and have such an unsightly smile. I began looking into the All-on-4 procedure three years ago or so, and decided I wanted to pursue it as an option. I was able to find a dentist with good reviews and scheduled a consultation. They took x-rays and from these x-rays were able to determine that I was a good candidate for All-on-4. I was excited to hear this, but I still was not entirely convinced that I should have the surgery. I spent a few more weeks researching and figuring out how I could budget for the procedure, but finally I decided to schedule the appointment.

Because of work and other life commitments, I had to wait about one year before I could have the procedure. Once I did, I was put to sleep through an IV drip and woke up around six hours later with the procedure complete and the temporaries in. The day of the surgery I didn’t really have any pain and the next day wasn’t that bad either- just a little swelling. On the third day, I experienced serious pain, so much so that I began regretting my decision to have the procedure performed. I called the office and they assured me the pain would go away, and fortunately they were right.

There was an adjustment period to having All-on-4 placed, but two years later, the implants feel completely natural. I do have to use a waterpik after every meal, but aside from that, I have the best smile and oral health that I have ever had. The procedure is not without its drawbacks, but I can honestly say that having it done was the best decision I ever made.

Is All-on-4 Right for You?

Now that you have spent time reading reviews from individuals who have had All-on-4 implants, we hope you have a better idea whether or not All-on-4 is right for you. If you have any additional questions, contact your dentist or orthodontist, who can provide additional information about other treatment options and whether or not All-on-4 is the best fit for you.
