Teeth in a Day Precision
Teeth-in-a-Day is a safe and precise approach to dental implants that provides patients with fully functioning dental implants in just one procedure. To begin the process, your periodontist will begin by taking a scan of your entire jaw bone in order to determine its overall health. With this scan, your periodontist will be able to develop an implant placement plan. Unlike traditional dentures that are supported with implants, Teeth-in-a-Day reduces the need for multiple office visits and reduces the overall healing process, which can take several months through traditional methods.
At Marin Contemporary Perio and Implant Concepts, we offer a wide range of periodontal and dental implant services. We treat referred and non-referred patients in a peaceful, modern setting, and are committed to partnering with all our patients throughout their treatment. We are committed to exceeding expectations and providing the highest level of dental care to achieve the ultimate goal of optimal oral health for all of our patients.
If you are scheduled for a Teeth-in-a-day procedure, or if you have any questions about the procedure, please contact our staff who will be happy to answer any questions or help you set up an appointment.
Reviews About Dental Implants
Teeth In a Day Procedure
At your initial consultation, your periodontist will conduct a thorough examination of your mouth, in addition to evaluating your medical history to determine whether or not Teeth-in-a-Day or another procedure is right for you. It is important to be aware that Teeth-in-a-Day is not a good fit for all candidates, and is only suggested on a case-by-base basis. If you do not meet the required qualifications for Teeth-in-a-Day, your periodontist will provide you with a list of alternative treatment options.
Based on the results of your scan and the results of reviewing your medical history, your periodontist will determine how many implants need to be placed and where the best placement positions of these implants are. This will be determined in large part by the results of the 3D images, which will indicate where the bone is strong and most stable.
As soon as your jaw is determined viable for Teeth-in-a-Day, your periodontist will work with a general dentist or prosthodontist (specialist in making dental restorations) to make the impressions you need for your new teeth.
Teeth in a Day vs Dental Implants
Historically known as “False Teeth”, the term dental implants now refer to a procedure wherein a dentist or periodontist surgically places titanium posts below the gumline and then places a replacement bridge or set of replacement teeth. Dental implants have made significant strides over the past few decades, but there are still many patients faced with missing teeth for whom this will not be the best option.
For these patients, Teeth-in-a-Day may be a better option. Provided you meet the necessary profile, Teeth-in-a-Day have many significant benefits when compared to traditional dental implants.

Caring for your Teeth in a Day
Because Teeth-in-a-Day is considerably less invasive than traditional implant surgery, the recovery time and post-operative treatment is relatively minimal. It is common for patients to experience some soreness following the procedure, but this can generally be addressed through the use of over-the-counter pain medications. Your periodontist may also prescribe you antibiotics if there is any risk of an infection developing.
Beyond that, the most important thing you can do to continue taking care of your oral health is to schedule regular visits with your periodontist every six months. During these routine checkups, your periodontist can monitor the overall state of your oral health and determine how well your Teeth-in-a-Day are doing, in addition to monitoring your overall oral health and catching issues before they develop. By maintaining these habits, you will be well on your way to preventing additional issues from developing in the future.
Teeth in a Day Cost
Like most dental procedures, the final cost will be determined by a variety of factors, such as the severity of your case, where you are located geographically, and what type of insurance plan you currently have. Our practice does accept most dental insurance programs, including non-managed care, indemnity (traditional), and PPO out-of-network.
Our staff will be happy to submit a pre-treatment estimate to your insurance company so you can determine what your benefits will be. Or, if you are not currently covered by insurance or have concerns about the final cost, our staff will be happy to discuss other financial arrangements with you.
